Can parents watch rehearsals?
All rehearsals are open to parents. Be aware, however, that it may be fun for the students to surprise their parents at the end of the week by showing what they have accomplished! Please understand that we cannot allow guests to disrupt the rehearsals. Productive rehearsals depend on the focused work of the cast members involved.
Will there be lunch?
There is a morning rehearsal and an afternoon rehearsal. Most cast members will only be in one rehearsal per day. Please come to the afternoon rehearsals having already eaten.
Cast members in both morning and afternoon rehearsals should bring a sack lunch. We will provide a snack for breaks.
How do I pay the registration fee?
Pay by card: use the link above in "How to register" section.
Pay by check: Make checks payable to Great Bend Community Theatre or GBCT.
Mail the check to 1905 Lakin Ave | Great Bend, KS | 67530
Scholarships are available.
Should the students prepare anything for the audition?
No advance preparation is necessary but a smile ☺ never hurts at an audition. They should be ready to come and have a good time! Please remember that everyone must stay the entire two hours of the audition.
They say an apple never falls far from the tree, and we have Johnny and his good pals, the Apple Seeds, to thank for an ample abundance of apple trees! Johnny and his little buddies traveled across the land on foot, made friends with all kinds of people and animals, and slept under the twinkling stars. Their delicious, heartwarming adventures yielded orchards full of juicy, delectable fruit that took a crunchy bite out of hungry tummies across the west. Even a grumbly wolf is won over by the sweet taste of the apples and the kindness of friends. The tale of JOHNNY APPLESEED is a tasty reminder that kindness is at the core of friendship.
